Shirin Ebadi’s Home Raided

Public Relations of Defenders of Human Rights Office:On Thursday morning January 1,2009 a group of 150 people demonstrated in front of Shirin Ebadi’s home while using this slogan:"Ebadi Supports,Israel slaughters"then proceeded to vandalize the sign outside and began kicking it.this protest took place despite the fact that defenders of human rights office had issued a statement condemning the recent violence in Gaza and demanding a quick international and human rights response ,further more members of defenders of human rights office mentioned in different interviews the need to prevent the violence against murder of Palestinian citizens.

This group was disbursed after police arrived on the scene.

A few days before 5 people posing as tax officials arrived at the office and confiscated two computer systems and some other belongings.this took place after the shut down of human rights defenders office.
